PlayStation 3 memory strengthened in North America

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced Tuesday that the storage capacity of the PlayStation 3 (PS3) game consoles available in North America is increasing.

PS3 can keep 33 percent of data is increased with optional hard drive to 160 gigabytes and 320 gigabytes, according to Sony.

The increased space is a response to the growing demand for digital content to the PLAYSTATION Network, the Japanese electronics giant will be downloaded, said in a statement.
